The Magpie-lark, also known as the mudlark or "peewee," is a striking black-and-white bird found throughout Australia. It is famous for its loud, rhythmic calls, often performed as duets between pairs. Highly adaptable, it builds sturdy mud nests in trees and thrives in diverse habitats, from urban parks to open wetlands.
